At least three ambulances and two police cars are believed to be attending the accident, which is between Brookland and the Brenzett roundabout.

The delays caused by the collision are causing traffic to be affected further on the A259 after the roundabout, as well as on the A2070 and the B2080 coming out of Brenzett.

An eyewitness said: "Traffic is building up, it looks like they're trying to let cars through in intervals.

"I can't see the actual crash itself but I saw three ambulances and two police cars race by, I hope it isn't too serious."

Police and ambulance services have been contacted for comment.
