Firefighters were called to battle flames at a giant barn in a rural lane this evening.

They received the call at 3.40pm to attend the blaze at Rectory Lane in the village of Brookland, believed to be at Parish Farm.

Crews used a hose reel jet to douse the flames, and left the scene an hour later.

There were no reported injuries from the fire.
