Fire crews called to beach hut blaze in Greatstone, Romney Marsh

Fire crews rushed to the scene of a beach fire hut this morning.

Smoke was seen billowing into the air from the beach at Greatstone, on Romney Marsh.

Two fire engines attended the incident, which happened on the Grand Parade at around 9.30am.

Crews managed to extinguish the flames using hose reel jets.

The extent of the damage to the beach huts are not yet known, but thankfully no casualties were reported.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
