Haguelands Village fire: Firefighters called to Romney Marsh tourist attraction after out of control bonfire

Firefighters were called after a bonfire got out of control at a farmyard tourist attraction.

The flames started to spread to fencing and other materials including metal and tyres at Haguelands Village in Burmarsh.

Crews were called just after 11.30am and two fire engines attended the scene.

The fire was brought back under control as firefighters used hose reels, main jets and a water hydrant to extinguish the blaze.

A digger on the farm was used to remove some large metal items from the fire.

The fire service remained at the scene until 1pm.

No injuries were reported.
