This is the charred wreckage of a fishing boat that ended up alight on a beach.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service says that the 10 metre-long wooden vessel was “well alight” on the shingle near Coast Drive, Lydd-on-Sea.

Fire crews were called out just after 5.50pm yesterday and used a hose reel jet to put out the flames.
