As part of the project, the team is asking for film clips of up to 60 seconds long, covering anything from wildlife in the garden to shots of the changing seasons.

Head of business support Darrienne Price said: "We are looking to create something that will leave a legacy for the Marsh, and really shine a light on what goes on here.

"We have already had one school and another group sign up.

"Given how good phone cameras are these days we're very hopeful that loads of people will be able to send things in."

Screen South will edit each month’s content together and showcase it online via their website.

At the end of the year there will be 12 films representing a year in the life of the Romney Marsh and its residents, made by residents.

A second project that the team are also working on will focus on showcasing and promoting the variety of employment opportunities on the Marsh.

For this project, entitled 'a day in the life', volunteers are wanted to showcase a day in their lives on the Marsh.

Miss Price continued: ""People don't really know what goes on on the Marsh, there are so many small businesses that completely pass people by.

"Part of what we're also looking to achieve is to shine a light on those so that people, particularly younger people, will be able to see it and say 'Maybe I can stay around and work round here'.
