Man from New Romney arrested after crash on Dymchurch Road

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after a crash in New Romney.

Police were called just before 11am yesterday after two cars collided in Dymchurch Road.

On arrival, officers found one of the drivers had fled the scene.

Four hours later, a 19-year-old from New Romney attended Folkestone police station voluntarily.

He was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs and released pending further enquiries.

No injuries were reported.
