Martello Tower at Dymchurch, Romney Marsh, to be sold at Clive Emson auction

You could bag yourself a piece of history as a 19th century building is set to go up for auction.

The Martello Tower at Dymchurch, Romney Marsh, is going to go under the hammer at the Clive Emson auction on Monday, December 11.

The feature has a guide price of between £70,000 to £75,000 - and you won't be short of parking spaces.

The building lies slap bang in the middle of a car park.

Martello Towers were built in the 19th century to protect the British Empire from invasions from across the water.

The small defensive forts were designed to hold 15-25 men and measure around 40ft in height.
