The next bus on the line, which runs through Rye and Camber before normally terminating at Police Station Road, was at 4pm.

In an announcement on twitter, a stagecoach spokesman said: "Due to a passenger defecating on the bus, the 102 from Rye at 15.00 will not be running.

"Sorry for the inconvenience this will cause."
