Police appeal after dog mauls sheep to death at farm near Hythe

Police are hunting the owner of a dog which mauled three sheep to death near Hythe.

The black labrador, which was wearing a red collar, savaged the animals in a farmer's field in Stone Street, Lympne.

The attack happened at 9.15am yesterday.

Officers are now warning owners that sheep worrying is an offence and dogs must be kept on leads around livestock.

Anyone with information that may help police with the investigation is asked to call PC Kerry Wood on 01843 222289 quoting incident number 26-219.
