Probe after teenager hit by car in Dymchurch high street

A teenage boy was hurt following a hit and run in a high street.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following the incident in Dymchurch.

The victim was struck between the junction with Orgarswick Avenue and the roundabout at Mill Road by what was believed to be a blue Ford.

He suffered minor injuries and the car which hit him was not at the scene when officers arrived.

Police say the incident happened just after 2.30pm on Thursday, August 18 and inquiries to find the driver are ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has CCTV or dashcam footage which may assist, should call police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 18-0810.
