Person cut free after two car crash on A256

A 69-year old man was injured in a two-car crash that closed a road last night.

The accident happened on the A256 Sandwich Road near Eastry, at about 4.30pm.

Emergency services were called to the scene where firefighters curt free one person from a wrecked car.

Two ambulances and a single responder vehicle were at the scene.

Paramedics treated one of the drivers, a 69-year-old man for pelvic injuries and he was taken to William Harvey Hospital.

A spokesman for SECAmb said no other injuries were reported.

Firefighters left at about 5.30pm but the road remains closed.
