Sandwich Town's two-year stay in the Kent League Premier Division is over after a three-wicket loss to already relegated Folkestone in the final game of the season on Saturday.

After being put in by the visitors, Sandwich posted 170-9 off their 50 overs with captain Robbie Goatham top-scoring with 33.

Jan Gray (4-16) and Thomas Jones (3-23) shared the bowling honours.

In reply, Folkestone were 28-2 before Himanshu Waingankar (44) and James Lilley (85) combined to set up only the second win of the season for their side.

Division 1 champions Dartford and runners-up Tenterden will replace Sandwich and Folkestone in the top-flight next season.

In the only two other games to survive the weather, Sevenoaks Vine and Tunbridge Wells both ended their campaigns with wins.

Vine beat Bromley by two-wickets after chasing down 215-9 with a ball to spare.

Shavawn Cunningham hit 58 for Bromley while Karl Pearson took 4-27 off his 10 overs.

Opener Oliver Durell led the run-chase with 73 while Tom Coldman smashed an unbeaten 22 off 12 balls to get his side home.

All-rounder Alexander Williams starred with bat and ball as Tunbridge Wells won by 53 runs at Bexley in a game reduced to 40 overs a side due to rain.

Williams (74) and Robert Sehmi (51) helped Tunbridge to 204-8. Michael Stevenson took 3-36.

Bexley were all-out for 151 with Matthew Stiddard making 45 while Williams completed a fine day by taking 4-28.
