A hamper specialist based in Hythe has chosen an Edenbridge-based animal rescue centre as its Christmas charity.

Spicers of Hythe has chosen Last Chance Animal Rescue in Hartfield Road as it provides essential medical care, food and shelter for a large number of unforunate animals that are rescued from horrific conditions.

The Spicers' Elves will be delivering festive hampers donated by the company to the animals and hard-working team at the charity on December, 15.

A facebook campaign has been launched by Spicers asking fans to think about what would make the ideal selection of treats for the gift hamper.

The charity has a heart-felt resonance with Spicers of Hythe as dogs have been a much valued part of their family life and tradition for generations.

Ian Spicer, managing director, explains further:Our two lovely Labradors, ‘Lola’ and ‘Boots’ are always ‘on patrol’ here at the Spicers’ head office keeping everyone happy – they’ve also been the stars in many of our most popular media posts. We all endorse and suppor the amazing work carried out by the dedicated team at Last Chance Animal Rescue.”
