Armed robbery at bookmakers

POLICE are hunting a man who threatened staff with a handgun during a robbery at a bookmakers on Tuesday morning.

The armed raid took place at the Coral's Bookmakers in London Road, Sevenoaks, shortly after 11am.

The man demanded money from the safe be handed over and, having been given the cash, left the shop and turned left towards Sevenoaks railway station.

The suspect is white, 5ft 2in tall and aged between 30 and 40. He was wearing a blue beanie hat and carrying a blue bag.

Nobody was injured during the robbery.

Police are appealing for information. Anyone who can help is asked to contact them on 01732 379217.
