Police have tweeted about their frustration after barriers preventing access to a road were removed causing a crash.

Officers attended the incident on the junction of Vigo Hill on the A227 Gravesend Road last night.

They later tweeted questioning why it was done and used hashtags to remind people 'closed means closed'.

Kent Police have been approached for further comment.
