Firefighters were called to a car alight in a shopping centre car park in Sevenoaks

Firefighters were called to tackle a vehicle fire in the car park of a Sevenoaks shopping centre on the weekend.

Crews were called just after 10pm to reports of a silver BMW on fire in the Bligh's Meadow Shopping Centre car park in Blighs Walk on Saturday.

Kent Fire and Rescue said it started in a small engine compartment.

One engine and police officers attended the scene.

A Kent Police spokesperson said the incident was not being treated as suspicious and that officers attended to identify the owner of the car.

There are no reports of any injuries.
