Voluntary and charitable organisations across Sevenoaks have the chance to be granted up to £5,000 to help them to continue working.

The grants, from Sevenoaks District Council’s Community Grant Scheme, exist to help organisations which provide services, activities or projects which benefit residents, with the focus being to those in greatest of need.

Eligible organisations have until Friday, November 28 to apply for a grant of between £100 and £5,000.

Organisations can receive grants of up to £5,000 from the council

So far this year that council has awarded a total of £153,315 to 27 voluntary and community organisations across the district.

Cllr Roddy Hogarth, the Council’s cabinet member for community grants, said: “We are committed to supporting the herculean efforts of volunteers in the District with all the good work that they provide, as these grants continue to help them make great strides.”
