A MAN died following a collision between two cars on the A21 in West Kent at the weekend.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the scene at Castle Hill, between Pembury and Tonbridge, near its junction with Half Moon Lane, just before midnight on Saturday.

The male driver of a Nissan Micra was cut from the wreckage and taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Passengers in the Nissan Micra were treated for minor injuries and shock. All were later released. The driver of the Mercedes Kompressor is not thought to have been injured.

The road was closed until 5.40am on Sunday morning. Police are investigating the cause of the accident, and anyone with information is asked to contact PC Guy Ditcher on 01622 600970.
