THE driver of a Land Rover Defender was trapped inside the vehicle when it overturned.

Police were called to the incident at Hogtrough Hill, Brasted, near Sevenoaks, at about 6pm on Tuesday.

The driver, a local man, suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for a precautionary check up. No other vehicles were involved.

Police described road conditions at the time as very slippery and there were a number of calls relating to minor road traffic incidents across the area.

As part of its Safer Winter campaign Kent Police is reminding drivers of the need to adapt to different weather conditions. Safer Winter information leaflets are available from local police stations or through neighbourhood officers.
