Window at Kings estate agents in Sevenoaks spontaneously explodes months after car drove through it at Christmas

"We're never leaving them in the shop alone again."

That was what Hayley Johnston, sales manager at Kings estate agents in Sevenoaks, had to say after two colleagues were the only ones to witness their shop window exploding, just months after a car drove through it.

Chris Peirce and Daniel Peake were the only men in the office over Christmas when a car drove through the shopfront as well.

The explosion happened just before midday today, and there is currently no explanation as to why.

A barber from neighbouring Chopafellas went round to the agency with his broom to help the clear up efforts, and cones have been laid out to prevent the public from stepping on any shards.

Despite not having protection from the elements, Kings remains open to the public, with agents ready to help people with housing queries.

"Over the Christmas period we were boarded up and working with our gloves on, so we're glad it's a bit warmer today.

"We'll remain open until someone comes to board us up, so if anyone wants to pop in this evening to talk about properties I'm here to help!

"Thankfully no one was hurt, but it better not happen again," the sales manager said.

Even when the shopfront has been boarded up, Kings will still be open for business at normal office hours.
