House fire in Sevenoaks

Two fire crews attended a blaze at a home in Sevenoaks yesterday.

The cause of the fire at the three-storey house in Berwick Way is unknown.

It started just after 3pm, and crews were able leave the scene before 4pm, having tackled the flames using breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet, a covering jet, and water from a local fire hydrant.

Subsequently a high-powered fan was used to clear smoke and fumes from the property.

Fortunately, there were no casualties.
