Firefighters remove roof from car after crash in Sevenoaks

Firefighters had to remove the roof of a car after a crash.

Two fire engines were called to the collision, involving two vehicles, in Robyns Way, near Betenson Avenue, Sevenoaks, at 3.39pm yesterday.

A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of one car and free a casualty from the vehicle.

"The person was then handed into the care of South East Coast Ambulance paramedics."

Firefighters left the scene at about 4.20pm.

Police were also called and the road was closed while the vehicles were recovered.

It reopened at about 6pm.
