Sevenoaks: Four charged by Kent Police following series of burglaries in Sevenoaks and North Kent

Kent Police has arrested five people in connection with a series of car key burglaries in Sevenoaks and North Kent.

Police stopped a car in Orpington on Sunday, and charged four people with three counts of burglary.

Thomas Ripley, 20; Jack Hever, 19; Shannon Kelynack, 18; and a 16-year-old from Northfleet have been charged with burgling two properties in Dartford and one in Sevenoaks between Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 14.

Police have been criticised

Ripley, Hever, and Kelynack have been remanded in custody, and will appear in front of magistrates on Thursday.

The 16-year-old will remain in custody until tomorrow.

The group have been charged with stealing a BMW from a Dartford property, and two Mercedes Benz cars from Sevenoaks.

A 15-year-old female was also arrested, but has been released on bail pending further enquiries until Friday, September 30.
