A crash on the M25 caused severe delays near Sevenoaks this morning.

Heavy traffic accumulated on the anti-clockwise section between junction 5 (M26) and junction 4 (A21).

Emergency services were notified of the incident at 10.11am. Early reports suggest that a van and a silver car were involved in the collision.

The Fire Rescue Service was sent to the scene as it was initially thought that a woman was trapped. Upon arrival it was found that nobody was trapped inside the vehicles.

An adult female was treated on scene by the Ambulance crew, and was transported to Darent Valley Hospital.

There have been no reports of any further serious injury.
