Couple on pavement run over by car in Otford

A couple walking on the pavement in Otford are in hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car.

The incident happened in Station Road at around 8.30pm on Friday.

Police are appealing for witnesses following Friday's crash

The man and woman were walking along the path when a white BMW left the road and collided with a telegraph pole before injuring the pair who were walking together.

The couple both in their 20s are said to be in a stable condition.

A 22-year-old man from Sevenoaks was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the accident or saw the car beforehand.
