A man will appear at the Old Bailey today to face a charge of murdering a 23-year-old man at a Kent railway station.

Jamie Simmons, of Blackfriars Road, Southwark, is alleged to have murdered Samir Draganovic, who was from Croydon, some time on Sunday, November 5.

Police were called just after midnight on Monday morning, following reports from a train driver who was taking the 11.40 service from Sevenoaks to Charing Cross that he had seen a body was on the tracks near Knockholt Station, just outside Sevenoaks.

Police initially thought the victim had been struck by a train but launched a murder investigation after reviewing CCTV footage at the station.

Police believe the victim was chased into the station by another man shortly before 9.30pm, and was then chased onto the tracks.

Mr Draganovic was born in Bosnia and moved to south London as a child.
