Police have arrested a man on suspicion of assault after a man was attacked in a car park.

Officers were called to South Park in Sevenoaks on Monday at 7.15am after receiving reports someone had been assaulted with a metal object, understood to be a steel bar.

Ambulance crews treated the victim at the scene for head injuries received in the incident, however he declined any further hospital treatment.

Yesterday police arrested a 46-year-old man from Ightham on suspicion of assault.

He is currently bailed until November 2 pending further enquiries.
