Sevenoaks: Man charged over theft of jewellery from homes

Police have charged a man over burglaries at two homes in which jewellery was stolen.

The break-ins happened during the day in Tonbridge Road, Ightham, and Hodsoll Street, Sevenoaks, on Friday, January 20.

The combined value of all the items stolen is estimated to be over £5,000.

Officers investigating tracked a suspicious vehicle seen in the area and, at around 9pm that day, it was stopped in London Road, West Kingsdown.

Thomas Webber, 25 and of School Street in Wolston, Coventry, was arrested at the scene and later charged with two counts of burglary and one count of driving without insurance.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 23.
