Man rescues elderly neighbours from house fire in Dippers Close, Sevenoaks

An elderly couple have been rescued from their smoke-filled home by a neighbour.

Neighbours heard the elderly couple's smoke alarms sounding at about 9pm in Dippers Close, Sevenoaks, and discovered the house was full of smoke.

Meanwhile, the husband went into house to bring the elderly couple to safety.

Two fire engines were called and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus went into the two-storey house and extinguished the blaze.

They used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the house.

Two men have suffering from smoke inhalation.
