A man's body has been found in a lake near Sevenoaks.

Police were called to Chipstead Lake, off Chevening Road, at 9.25am today following the grim discovery.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and the man’s next of kin have been informed.

He was aged in his 50s.

The matter will now be passed to the coroner.

Chipstead Lake is a busy attraction, home to an activities centre, sailing club, and a Leonard Cheshire Disability care centre. It is also close to Chipstead CofE Primary School.
