A man was killed in a crash at a busy junction of the M26 yesterday.

The grey Citroen C2 he was driving went off the road and collided with the bank on the London-bound carriageway at Kemsing.

It happened just before 5pm and caused the road to be closed while accident investigation work took place.

An air ambulance attended but the driver, a London man in his 30s, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no passengers in the car at the time.

It is not believed any other vehicle was involved but officers from the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit ask anybody with information to call 01622 798538.
