A Kent retreat will open its doors and grounds to host a Ferrari Owners Club event this month.

Former racing driver, John Surtees will appear at the gathering, which will be held at Reynolds Retreat Country Club in Borough Green.

Located just outside Sevenoaks, the venue will welcome an impressive collection of classic and modern Ferraris.

On the day, guests will be given the opportunity to photograph the cars and even sit behind the wheel.

Visitors will also be able to try their hand at karting in a simulator lapping Buckmore Park, the kart circuit where Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button amongst many others learnt their skills, with a prize for the person who sets the fastest time on the day.

Together with live music from jazz duo Sax & Honey, the event, on Saturday, September 19, will also include a silent auction providing a selection of signed and framed sporting, music and film collectibles.

For memorabilia fans, the only man in history to win world championships on both two wheels and four, will be signing photographs.

All visitors will also receive a free day pass for The Reynolds Retreat.

Funds raised will be donated to The Henry Surtees Foundation, which was inspired by John Surtees following the tragic death of his son, 18-year-old Henry, who was killed whilst competing in a Formula 2 race in 2009.

The foundation helps educate young people with motorsport-related training in technology, engineering and road safety instruction.

An exhibition of sculptures and paintings organised by SEEART Gallery will be on show.

Artist Guy Portelli, former winner of BBC television show, Dragons' Den, selected the artwork and a proportion of the sales will be donated to the charity.

Kieran Street, sales director at The Reynolds Retreat said:“Hosting this event with the Ferrari Owners Club Kent area Group and the Henry Surtees Foundation is set to be a highlight in the Reynolds Retreat calendar this year and we are honored to be involved.

"We look forward to welcoming visitors, car enthusiasts and local residents alike to enjoy this exciting event."

The event is open to the public from 12pm to 6.30pm. For more information click here.
