A well-known restaurant chain, with branches across the county, has pulled plans to open one in Sevenoaks.

Bill's Restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, was rumoured to be opening in the district.

A number of sources claimed the chain would move into the site of Border Tex Mex, in London Road.

The Mexican bar and restaurant announced it was due to shut earlier this month, with owners citing lack of business as one of the main reasons.

However, a Bill's spokesman said no site in Sevenoaks has been confirmed.

They said the chain was considering various options in the area, but have now decided not to proceed with any of them.

Bill's has three other branches in the county in Bluewater, Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone.
