Slow traffic on M25 due to snowfall near Sevenoaks

Flurries of snow have hit parts of Kent this morning.

People have reported seeing showers of the white stuff in Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells.

There has even been slow traffic on the M25 clockwise because of heavy snowfall near Junction 5 for Sevenoaks and the M26.

The Met Office predicted today would be mostly cloudy, with patchy rain or sleet spreading southeastwards during the morning, perhaps with some snow in the west at first.

However, forecasters said sunny spells and isolated showers would develop by the afternoon, with a maximum temperature 10°C.

Tomorrow, there will be isolated mist or fog patches at first, but otherwise it will be a largely sunny morning after a very cold start, and it will be cloudier by the afternoon, but still with some decent spells of sunshine. Maximum temperature 13°C.
