Travellers set up camp at Platt Primary in Maidstone Road, St Mary's Platt, near Sevenoaks

A school sports field has been vandalised after a traveller camp set up on it.

The camp can be found at Platt Primary in Maidstone Road, St Mary's Platt, near Sevenoaks.

It is understood that rubbish and dog mess has been left on the field, and that a fence was broken.

It is not known how long they have been on the field

In addition, it is reported the pupils were unable to use the land for activities.

A resident, who wished to remain anonymous said: "Travellers are on Platt C of E Primary School sports field.

"Totally destroyed the field with vans, rubbish, and dog excrement.

A traveller camp has been set up at Platt Primary School (10036814)

"They have broken down the fence, children have had all sports activities cancelled.

"It looks like they are here to stay."

It is not known how long they have been set up on the school field.

Vans and caravans can be seen on the field

Kent County Council have been approached for a comment.
