Two men arrested after Sevnoaks golf course break-in

Two teenagers have been arrested following a break-in at a former golf club.

Police were called to a site which was once Broke Hill Golf Club in Sevenoaks Road, Halstead just before 2pm on Saturday, March 10 where two boys aged 16 and 17 from the Sevenoaks area were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

The two were arrested after it was reported they fled from the club house.

The teenagers men were arrested following a break in at a former golf clubhouse.

Officers responding to the call found damage to the main club house, including a broken glass door.

Items including a hammer and screw driver were recovered from the scene for forensic tests.

A dog unit was also called in to assist.

Police tweeted about the arrests just before 3pm on Saturday, March 10 congratulating the team who responded to the incident.

A new officer, said in the tweet to be 'PC Will', was successful in his first foot chase.

The teenagers have since been released pending further investigation.
