5 in dock charged over Christopher's murder

MURDERED: Christopher Alaneme

FIVE men have appeared before a court accused of the murder of 18-year-old Christopher Alaneme who was stabbed to death on Sheppey on April 21.

The men, all from London, appeared before magistrates in Maidstone.

They are Peter Connolly, 29, a painter and decorator, of Carisbrooke Gardens, Peckham,

Andrew Giblin, 26, a bank worker, of Bromyard House, Commercial Way, Peckham,

Terence Beaney, 23, a plasterer, of Rideout Street, Woolwich, and Sean Duhig, 23, and Gerry Duhig, 27, both plasterers, of Melbury Drive, Camberwell.

Connolly, Giblin and Beaney are also charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to another man in Sheerness on April 21.

All five have all been remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, September 25.
