If you’re a fan of the Fab Four – there’s still time to get your hands on a CD featuring Sheppey versions of some of their greatest hits.
The Beatles Covered has been produced to raise money for The Dannyboy Trust (DBT), which was set up in memory of Warden Bay soldier Daniel Holkham, who died in Afghanistan in 2010.
It supports Island children’s groups and clubs.
The 21-track CD, was put together at Sheerness’s answer to Abbey Road – the Roadhouse Recording Studios on Grace Road Industrial Estate,.
An official launch is planned in the future, but there are still some copies if you want to get your hands on one of the first batch.
DBT chairman and Daniel’s dad Rodney said the CD has already had a good response.
“I think it sounds fantastic,” he said.
- The Beatles Covered is available, priced £10, from the Sheerness Times Guardian office in High Street, Sheerness, the Roadhouse Recording Studios or the DBT Facebook page.
