Air ambulance scrambled to medical incident in Sheerness

An air ambulance was scrambled this afternoon to attend a "medical incident" in Sheerness.

Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance landed on the beach, by the Neptune Snooker Club, at about 2.30pm.

The crew was called to help paramedics in two ambulances who had been called to James Street.

An air ambulance spokesman said: "We were called to a medical incident at a residential address.

"The crew assisted the ground ambulance at the scene."

The patient was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital by road ambulance.

The spokesman could not confirm the nature of the medical incident.
