A man has been arrested after a police chase ended in a crash.

It happened in Alexandra Road, Sheerness, at 9.11am this morning.

Before the crash, officers spotted a suspicious vehicle while on patrol in Berridge Road, Sheerness.

It failed to stop when asked.

Officers lost track of it before it was involved in the smash with another vehicle, which was not moving.

A police spokesman said a man in his 30s has been arrested under suspicion of dangerous driving and drink driving and is in custody.
