Kent Police detectives release image in hunt for Sheerness beach 'sex attacker'

This man is being hunted by police investigating claims of a serious sexual assault on Sheerness beach.

Police have today released the computer-generated image after a young woman alleged she was assaulted in the early hours.

Officers were called to the scene, near Bridge Road, at about 3am on Sunday, December 15.

The alleged victim had spent the evening at the nearby Tantra nightclub shortly before she said she was attacked by a man between 2am and 3am.

He is described as white, of medium to stocky build with broad shoulders, in his mid-20s and about 5ft 9ins, with an oval-shaped face and dark spiky hair with a fringe and sideburns.

He was wearing dark skinny jeans, a dark long-sleeved cardigan with a light top underneath and white trainers with laces.

Police said the man fled along the seawall in the direction of Minster after the alleged assault.

Anyone with information about the assault, the identity of the man in the image or who saw anyone matching his description in the area at the time is urged to phone police on 01622 654864 or Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
