Bomb disposal experts were called to a house in Minster this afternoon after a resident feared they had found an explosive device.

It is understood the person was digging in their back garden in The Broadway and found a rusty object.

Unsure what the suspect discovery was, they called the police as a precaution at around 1.30pm.

Officers attended and requested support from the Royal Logistics Corps' explosive ordnance team.

They inspected the metal item but found it to be an old gas bottle.
