MOTORISTS entering Sheerness from the Halfway Road are being left confused as to what speed they should be doing.

On one side of the road near the canal bridge there’s a 30mph sign and directly opposite there’s another saying 40mph.

Debbie Belsom, of Southview Gardens, Sheerness, is one those intrigued by the signs. She said: “Some joker has probably turned one of the signs around but it’s been like that for ages.

“Learners must especially be confused. Would they fail their test for going too fast, I ask myself?”
