Drug dealer David Foreman

A man from Sheerness is behind bars after being found guilty of dealing drugs for the third time.

David Foreman, 46, previously of Clyde Street was arrested following a raid in August 2008.

Officers stopped Foreman as he was leaving his home by car and found a small quantity of heroin.

His house was searched where a small amount of cocaine and drug supply paraphernalia was found and he was arrested.

He found guilty of drugs supply at a hearing on April 30 and sentenced last week at Maidstone Crown Court by His Honour Judge St John-Stevens, where he was due to receive a mandatory sentence of seven years, as this was his third conviction for drug supply.

However, probation reports indicated Foreman was no longer taking drugs and currently looking for work.

The judge considered these to be exceptional circumstances and ordered that he should serve a lesser sentence of two years and three months, taking these things into account and time already spent in prison.
