The Easter Bunny will be putting smiles on the faces of dozens of children by visiting them on their doorsteps.

Sammie Searle, founder of Boogie Tots, and her son Ben will be venturing around Sheppey and Sittingbourne next month to see those who will be spending their Easter holidays at home due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The pair, from Minster, have set up a socially distanced ‘to your door service’, which will see Ben, dressed as the Easter Bunny, and Sammie delivering chocolate eggs to little ones.

With Boogie Tots, a class for pre-school children to dance and have fun, unable to hold its regular parties under lockdown, Sammie decided to lift youngsters’ spirits over Christmas by bringing festive entertainment to people’s homes instead.

Sammie, 43, said: “Off the back of the success of our elf visits at Christmas, my son and I decided to offer Easter Bunny doorstep visits in April.

“The visits will involve the Easter Bunny and myself visiting children on their doorstep, causing some chaos and fun on the driveway, interacting with them and offering a socially-distanced family photo opportunity.

“We will also be offering a gift bag with a chocolate egg in.”

She added: “The elf visits was one of the best jobs I have ever done.

“All the children were so happy to see the elves and were so excited, it was magical and lovely and I want to do it all again with the Easter Bunny.

“It’s something for families to look forward to.”

Visits start at £25 and will take place on Sheppey and in Sittingbourne on Saturday, April 3 between 9am and 3pm.

The Easter Bunny will also visit Medway homes on Friday, April 2 between 9am and 4pm.
