Two Eastern Boxing Club fighters enjoyed victories during the club’s show at Sheppey Holiday Camp, Warden Bay, on Friday night.

Danny Debruin beat an opponent from the Westree BC by unanimous decision, a victory which also earned him the fighter-of-the-night award.

Club-mate Tommy Boyce was making his debut in the ring and also won unanimously after beating a fighter from London’s Lansbury ABC.

Dave Shoct was also in action against a Margate opponent but lost a close bout by majority decision.

Head coach Dean Rollins said: “Considering a few clubs had to turn around because they were stuck in traffic, we still managed to have a good show. We were really well supported and a big thank you goes out to the businesses who sponsored us and the people who helped on the night.”
