The tan and black pup was a gift from Kelly Gibson to her three-year-old niece for her birthday, who is desperate to get her back.

She said: "My niece is devastated. She loves her and keeps calling out for her pup.

"We think one of the kids accidentally let her out the front door and not realised."

Kelly added the 11-week-old Yorkie has never been outside on her own.
