A former high street shop has become infested with flies.

Swarms of the insects can be seen in the window and inside what used to be The Computer Shop in Sheerness High Street.

It has been reported that environmental health teams are aware of the situation.

Staff at Sheerness Dental Centre, which is above the premises but has nothing to do with the shop, said they had not seen any problems, but one worker said she had noticed flies gathering in the window.

The premises is believed to have been vacant for around a year.

It is not yet known what is the cause of the pest problem.

Environmental health has been contacted for comment.
