Police helicopter launched to search Jasmin Close, Minster, after reports of two people acting suspiciously

A helicopter was launched to search Sheppey last night after concerns there had been a burglary.

Police received a call at 10.51pm from a member of the public who claimed to have seen two people acting suspiciously in Jasmin Close, on the Thistle Hill estate in Minster.

They were reported to be on one of the housing development construction sites.

Officers went to the scene and searched the area, assisted by the police helicopter.

No one was found but a police spokesman said inquiries are continuing to establish if any crimes have been committed.

The helicopter was circling the Island for around an hour.
